Congratulations, Alicia Alonso, Junior Taekwondo Champion of Spain!

Last weekend, Alicia Alonso Crespo (daughter of our colleague from the Commercial Department, Alberto Alonso) was crowned Junior Champion of Spain for the second consecutive year, representing the Riojan Federation team. Alongside her, 10 more teammates from the Ciudad de Logroño Club attended the event, also showcasing a very high level of performance.

Alicia's title is her third in the last four years—an achievement that is incredibly difficult to replicate and had never been reached before by any athlete from La Rioja. She is currently leading the national ranking and is in a strong position to compete for a spot on the Spanish national team for the European Championship. To secure her place, she will need to earn points in two more international championships.

Additionally, in a month, she will compete in the European Grand Prix in Tallinn (Estonia), followed by the Spanish International Open at the end of April, which is a ranking event for the European Championship.
